Award Winner 2018

Congratulations to 2018 Mornington Art Show Winners

Best Exhibit (any medium) was Casey Sealy's oil landscape titled Winter Moon Grafton.

An exceptional oil landscape painting by one of Australia’s top masters.

The whole painting has quality written all over it.

From the subtitle strokes in the distance to the bold confident strokes in the foreground.

Excellent use of tone and colour makes this painting draw you as the viewer into the image.

A painting full of drama and illusion.

A worth winner of best in show. (Michael Goff Judge)

Special Sculpture Display

In 2011 John started his most recent form of artwork making sculptures from
aluminium composite. This material is hard wearing and non-fading, often seen on the outside of buildings as coloured panels or used for business signage. John has been able to transform these panels into imaginative pieces of art by cutting and bending the material manually into sculptures suitable for wall hangings, table centre pieces and garden ornaments. All works of art are original pieces and displays the creativity of John’s work

The 2018 Mornington Art Show is indeed fortunate to have 23 pieces of spectacular hand carved & painted Tiwi Island work by artists from the Jilamara Arts & Crafts Association [Melville Island] as part of its exhibition from 19 January.
